Padang – , Today, the Governor West Sumatra inducted the member of West Sumatra Information Commission 2014 -2018 at the governor auditorium on Thursday (September 4th).
This inducted is based on Governor Decree No. 555-673-2014 on September 2nd, 2014. The five members of West Sumatra Information Commission who had been inducted are Syamsurizal, S. E., Arfitriati, S. Ag., Yurnaldi, S. Pd., Sondri, S. Pd., and Adrian Tuswandi, S. H.
The information commission was formed as independent organization which has functions to run the Freedom Information law and implement the regulations, establish the technical guidelines of public service information standards and resolving the disputes of public information through meditation and non- litigation adjudication. In performing duties, members of Information Commission of West Sumatra are referring to the Law No. 14 of 2008 on Freedom Information law and other legislation.
The Governor of West Sumatra, Irwan Prayitno on his speech said “Hopefully with the present of Information Commission, it can assist the government in terms of openness and could be a good institution, to help the public.” Governor also hoped that the Information Commission members that have been inducted can carry out the mandate as good as possible.
Attending to the induction that were started at 08.30 is the officials of West Sumatra Province, Department of Communication and Information Technology of West Sumatra, Chief of Local Government Unit in Sumatra, press representatives and NGO’s in West Sumatra.
The ceremony induction was closed with the prayers by the clergy and congratulated by guests to the Information Commission Members who have been inducted. (DishubkominfoSB)
