Tangerang – Indonesia Parliamentary Center (IPC) held a workshop of 2014 elections the access test at Ara Hotel Gading Serpong, Tangerang, Banten. The activities began on Thursday (August 14th) and will occur until Saturday (August 16th).

Workshop begun with the test access presentation and research findings presented by IPC researchers Erik Kurniawan and Arbain. Then the event continued with the findings of four IPC partners i.e. Independent Election Monitoring Committee (KIPP) of East Java, MaTA Aceh, Yasmib of South Sulawesi and Jakarta Provincial Elections Commission (KPU). The activity was followed by the Central Election Commission, Information Commission, Election Supervisory Committee of Tangerang, Indonesia Budget Center (IBC) and KIPP.

On the second day, workshop participants were divided into two groups. The first group discussed on recommendations for better improvement of information services, and what regulation support needed to achieve these demands.

While the second group formulated what recommendations for better improvement of information services, institutional support needed to achieve the demands such as budget, human resources and infrastructure. (AA)
