Bojonegoro, Kebebasaninformasi.org – Around 80 sub-district officials and General Hospital of Bojonegoro officials expressed readiness to implement the Freedom of Information Law in their area. In accordance with article 13 of Freedom of Information Law, every public body including the district office must establish the Documentation and Information Management Officer (PPID).

“In our opinion, as the sub-district secretaries, anything that is mandated by the law, we have to run it,” said sub-district secretary of Ngambon, Bojonegoro, as reported by jawakini.com.

It was stated during the workshop on Strengthening the PPID which took place in Anglingdharma hall, Bojonegoro district government complex. The workshop presents a number of competent speakers, especially in the field of information and documentation management in Bojonegoro district government area.

Syaiful AW, one of the speakers of Bojonegoro district government, considers that the openness in Bojonegoro has been going well. “It may even throughout Indonesia, only Bojonegoro that have applied this up to the sub-district level.” He explained.

In these activities, has been mapped the most problems in the implementation of the Freedom of Information Law, one of them is the issue of budgeting and human resources. In response, the Head of Communications and Information Technology Department, Kusnandaka Tjatur Prasetija, which also Chairman of the Main PPID in Bojonegoro provides a series of steps that can be taken to solve these problems.

In Bojonegoro, the formation of PPID at the sub-district level will be completed in November 2014. In the form of making SK SKPD for PPID, preparation of DIP, up to publish it through the website.
